During the documentary Fergie & Meghan: disturbing Royals, Cundy gave a glimpse of his friendship with Meghan. The Duchess was in London in 2013 to promote her show Suit and the documentary included a clip of Cundy interviewing Meghan.
Cundy asked how Meghan liked London in the interview. âIt’s very cold, but the people are so warm,â Meghan replied. “As cheesy as it sounds⦠I joked today that I had never been called so ‘love’ or ‘sweetheart’ in my life.”
She added: “It makes me want to stay a while.”
Cundy shared that she and Meghan were very friendly. “We got along like a house on fire – Meghan has a great sense of fun,” she explained in the documentary. “She loved London, she loved British men, she wanted a British boyfriend and she wanted to work in London.”

Lizzie Cundy claims Meghan ‘ghost’ her after meeting Prince Harry
In 2019, Cundy said The sun how she met Meghan while they were sitting next to each other at a charity dinner in 2013. âWe were having a girl conversation and she said, ‘Do you know any famous guys? I’m single and I really like English men, âCundy recalls.
“So I said, ‘We’re going to go out and find you somebody,'” the TV personality explained.
Cundy said Meghan was “relaxed” and not self-centered. âMeghan is so relaxed, she loved having a drink, it was a lot of fun,â she explained. âI remember her asking about my boys. She was very interested and asked a lot of questions. Usually you find that actresses speak only for themselves. She was really fun, really sweet. I loved her. “
When Cundy found out that Meghan and Prince Harry were dating, she texted Meghan to say, “I’ve heard from Harry.” According to Cundy, Meghan replied, âYeah, I know. We will try to connect.
Meghan, however, never contacted Cundy again. âThe palace probably told her to end contact with people she befriended in the media. I was literally ghosted by it, âCundy explained.
