Café at the head of three generations | Bancroft this week

Three generations of ladies have taken over the Muse Gallery and Cafe. New owners Liz Raymond, her mother Rose and daughter Rory carry on the tradition of the gallery while adding their own unique flavor to the cafe.
Currently, they are looking for new artists for the gallery and plan to hold musical events every weekend. Interested parties can reach Raymond by calling the Café at 613-334-1573, by email at [email protected], or on the Café’s Facebook or Instagram page.
The cafe will continue to serve a variety of coffees and teas, all served by Rory who now creates a variety of healthy smoothies. While homemade breads and baked goods are Rose’s specialty. Liz and her youngest daughter Reid will serve lunches and meals to customers.
The Raymonds ran a family restaurant 17 years ago before moving to the North Hastings area. When they learned that their favorite cafe was going to close, they decided to take advantage and jumped in to keep their favorite cafe open.
Located at 23 Bridge Street, the Muse Gallery and Cafe is a place where local artists and musicians can share their art and skills. But it’s also a place where residents can have a great cup of coffee, as it was voted Bancroft’s best cup of coffee by ResterauntGuru in 2021, and a healthy bite to eat.
