The Dialog Cafe hosted the first-ever “Dialogue with a Deputy” event on Thursday, July 21, 2022, where they invited West Hollywood Sheriff’s Deputies, neighbors, local business owners, and West Hollywood elected officials to meet at 8766 Holloway Drive for coffee and a chat with WeHo Law Enforcement.

“We have always believed in the importance of encouraging meaningful conversations with our staff and customers,” Dialog Cafe said on their social media platforms ahead of the event. They said the conversation was the reason they opened their doors to host the first-ever “Dialogue with a Deputy.”

The West Hollywood sheriff said there was no agenda at the event. The two-hour gathering was simply an opportunity for community members to ask questions, voice concerns, learn about volunteer opportunities and community events, and get to know the deputies and staff of West Hollywood Station Command.

“It was great to see our position as West Hollywood Sheriff in the community yesterday morning, along with several board members and commissioners, Mayor Meister and former council member Heilman,” the commissioner told West Hollywood public safety and candidate for West Hollywood council, Robert Oliver. “Many members of the community stopped by to chat with MPs during the 2 hour event. I think this is exactly the kind of community engagement we need right now, and I encourage our community members and city leaders to get involved in the next one.

Dialog Cafe is a family-run cafe with a tight-knit team serving the West Hollywood community. “We partner with the best to serve the best,” reads the intro on their website. “We serve third-wave coffee, which ultimately means we care about quality and focus on micro-batch roasting. This allows us to present a more complex flavor profile of our coffee program. Not only do we source our coffee beans locally, but we also partner with family farms that have been passed down from generation to generation. If it’s not obvious now, we’re very into inclusive family vibes. We love supporting small local family businesses and showcasing their quality products in our own handcrafted creations.

The Dialog Cafe is located on the corner of Holloway Drive and Palm Street, opposite Tower Records. For more information, visit:
