Drunk Ontario teenager allegedly skipped fast food counter and stole food while checking in

Craving fast food after a few drinks isn’t out of the ordinary, but jumping over a fast food counter instead of waiting for your order definitely is.

Waterloo Regional Police arrested an 18-year-old Etobicoke man after he jumped off a service counter at a fast food restaurant and filmed himself eating food in the ’employee area’ , according to a press release.

Police said they were called to a restaurant by University Avenue East and Weber Street North on March 16 around 11:30 p.m. for a disturbance.

Police have not revealed which fast food restaurant the youngster decided to get his start at, but there are several fast food restaurants in the area including Dairy Queen, Popeyes and Wendy’s.

After having eaten his fill, the inebriated teenager fled the restaurant. But he obviously didn’t stage a road trip for his burglar-inspired crime and tried to steal a bike to escape his greasy past.

The police were already on the scene at the time and arrested the young man before he could drive off into the night.

The teenager faces several counts, including “public intoxication, mischief under $5,000 and disturbing public order”.

Intoxication is often a factor when Ontarians do weird things on the wrong side of the law.

In November 2021, a drunk driver in Ontario attempted to purchase gasoline with cannabis. In May 2021, another drunk driver allegedly let his 12-year-old child drive his car while drunk in the passenger seat.
