Gunmen attack fast food outlet on Easter Day and rob entertainment-goers

Unidentified gunmen stormed a fast food restaurant in the Oko district, near the Federal Polytechnic School of Oko, on Easter Sunday.

In Nigeria, it was learned that the gunmen visited Sophia Fast Food but did no harm to Easter goers who were apparently enjoying themselves.

According to a source, despite an armored car and security guards stationed nearby, they were able to strip all restaurant customers and workers of their phones and fled the area unchallenged.

A Facebook user, Iyke Orji said:

“No one was killed, no one was shot.

“Even the new police armored tank, Governor Soludo, stationed at Oko police station with new police did not push them back.

“They came to Sophia Fast Foods Oko, yes, fast food. They collected all the phones of the people who were eating there. They have now set fire to the facade of the fast food restaurant.

“Sophia Fast Foods just opened a new branch in Ekwulobia and people are wondering if it was a calculated attempt by competitors,” Orji said.

An attempt to get confirmation from DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra State Police Command, failed as his phone was unreachable at the time.
