Mariah Carey and her daughter Monroe Cannon visited McDonald’s in Aspen, Colorado, and played a prank on its employees before the so-called Christmas Queen revealed her identity.
The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer posted video of the prank on her Instagram page on Thursday showing her family visiting a local McDonald’s while on vacation in Aspen.
In the first prank, 10-year-old Monroe orders a Mariah Carey t-shirt, beanie, and Big Mac at the box office with a harsh, aggressive New York accent. The man opposite the intercom then replies: “Ma’am, actually, I can’t understand you. Can you order at the window. I apologize.”
The man’s response made the family laugh, but Monroe refused his request. He then asks, “Uh, ma’am? Can you please leave the store and never come back? Thank you very much. “
His dry answer made the family laugh. âWe just played a joke on the man,â Monroe said in the video. “He told us to never come back because I’m so good at acting.”
Carey quickly reminded her daughter to maintain “humility,” but praised her, saying she “killed him” with her performance.
In the second prank, Carey’s assistants attempted to order a Big Mac, orange juice, and coffee in Portuguese. The store clerk can be seen shaking his head as the two assistants animatedly place their orders.
After the frustrating scene, Carey said, âI’m going to have to go out there and try to act steadily. “
The singer walks into the store in a sparkling red dress with a plunging neckline and heels. Inside the store, she complimented an employee wearing the Mariah menu shirt.
âI hope I’m not overdressed,â she said, before asking the store manager.
The “Fantasy” singer ordered a Big Mac and checked out the Mariah Menu bag before mingling and taking photos with the employees.
She concluded the video by saying, âLook, it was so fun and spontaneous. If I was a little kid and dreamed about it, I never thought it would happen, so Merry Christmas, I love you! “

Carey has partnered with McDonald’s for the Mariah Menu, which gives customers free treats for every $ 1 minimum order on the restaurant’s mobile app. Some branches will also sell hats with the singer’s signature.
On December 21, the restaurant sold t-shirts with a photo of the “One Sweet Day” singer enjoying a cheeseburger.
