Insecurity: the NAF and the British army train 145 special forces

JThe Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in conjunction with the British Military Advisory Training Team, has trained 145 Advanced Special Forces Officers, known as the Nigerian Air Force Panthers, who will be deployed to troubled areas to help address the security challenges besetting the country.

Of the 285 people nominated for the course, 150 were found fit but 145 graduated at the end of the course.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Advanced Special Operations Course 1/2022 at the Regimental Training Center Annex, Nigerian Air Force Special Operations Command, Bauchi, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Oladayo Amao expressed optimism that graduating students have absorbed the necessary skills required to conduct special operations in line with achieving the Air Force’s operational objectives.
