Redding restaurant expects business recovery

REDDING, Calif. – The Cascade Theater is bringing back live performances and guests are returning, area restaurants eagerly await the foot traffic the theater will bring to downtown Redding.

“It will definitely attract more people, it will also attract customers who might have known us,” said Ashley Jones, owner of Fusion Restaurant.

While this is empty seats and a bare stage at the Cascade Theater at the moment, Fusion expects business to pick up once the curtain is raised.

“We see a huge rush right before a gig or whatever,” Jones said.

“Whether they’re coming for aperitifs or coming with friends and having dinner before or just for a quick cocktail.”

The restaurant expects it to be even busier once these shows begin.

The Cascade Theater will have its first show in September next Thursday.
