Taco Bell, like many other national fast food restaurants, suffers from a relatively severe food shortage. Over the weekend, the chain added a banner to its website warning taco demons that they might encounter delays or unavailable offers at one of their 7,500+ restaurants. “Sorry if we can’t feed your current urge,” the banner read. “Due to domestic ingredient shortages and delivery delays, we may be running out of some items.”
As you would expect, social media users have since started to experience issues with several products on the Taco Bell menu as they are not a single product type or ingredient.
“This pandemic has resulted in many shortages that I have been able to live with,” Twitter user @Stephen_Roto shared earlier this month. “Today, however… my Taco Bell told me that there was a slight shortage of sauce and that it was gone. That’s a shortage of product too many. Now, this is it. ‘is serious.”

Stéphane is not alone. Elsewhere on the microblogging service, @ jenuhh124 informed her followers that her local location didn’t offer chicken or beef, forcing a veggie taco option she could have done without.
for anyone fancy a taco bell tonight i’ll spare you the commute, they don’t have chicken or beef, national shortage or something like that. I just ate black beans in a hard shell. was not worth it

Chicken, beef and gravy, where does the madness stop? Apparently there is no end in sight as Redditors have similar issues. A frustrated Redditor shared that their local Taco Bell was even running out of tortillas, meaning the restaurant couldn’t make burritos or tortilla-based options on the menu.
Taco Bell headquarters won’t confirm the exact ingredients that are missing, but it added to its brief post on its website. “Due to domestic transport delays occurring in most sectors of the industry, we may be temporarily short of certain items. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to satisfy the current cravings of Taco Bell fans soon.” the restaurant said in a press release obtained. through SCS.
